Facility Rental

Facility Information:

MHDS Vishnu Mandir is honored to support our community by offering our Mandir facility for private religious and cultural events, including weddings, yagnas, samelans, birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations.

Our 9,000 sq. ft. facility includes the Prayer Area, Lobby, Meeting/Changing Room, Kitchen, Dining Area, Restrooms, and Parking. While there is no fixed rental fee, we respectfully request a donation to help offset operational expenses such as utilities, maintenance, kitchen and restroom supplies, and general wear and tear. Suggested donation amounts vary for members and non-members depending on the type and length of event. A refundable security deposit is required. Donation breakdown:

Members

  • Weddings: $1,125

  • Yagnas & related events: $380 per session

  • 7-Session Yagna: $1,890

 

Non-Members

  • Weddings: $1,250

  • Yagnas & related events: $425 per session

  • 7-Session Yagna: $2,100

Refundable Deposit of  $300 (returned within one week after satisfactory inspection).

Additional donations are always appreciated. MHDS is a non-profit organization supported by community contributions.

Important Guidelines:

Sacred Space:

  • No alcohol or non-vegetarian food on Mandir property.

  • Shoes are not permitted in Prayer areas.

  • Murthies and altar items must not be moved.

  • Decorations require prior approval and must be removed within 2 days.

 

Kitchen:

  • Vegetarian food only.

  • Follow posted food safety practices.

  • Kitchen volunteers assist at their discretion.

  • Mandir is not responsible for outside food.

 

Music & Sound:

  • Mandir sound system calibrated to 85 dB (OSHA compliant).

  • Only approved/trained sound engineers may operate equipment.

  • Religious/soothing music only in Pooja area.

  • Outside systems require Certificate of Liability.

 

Clean-Up & Conduct:

  • Maintain cleanliness inside and outside.

  • Remove trash and decorations promptly.

  • Respect parking rules and neighbors.

  • Heating/AC handled by Mandir representative.

  • A Mandir representative will be present during events.

How to Request Use:

To request use of the Mandir facility:

  1. Check the Mandir calendar for availability

    • If you have questions, please contact Vishnu Mandir at (612) 522-1201.

  2. Complete and submit the Facility Request Application to our Secretary  or President.

  3. Dates are confirmed only with an authorized signature by the Mandir Secretary or President.
